Senior Accounting Consultant – Divestiture / Carve-Out
CAEtech is seeking three experienced Senior Accounting Consultants to support a major corporate separation and mobility business spin-off. These are full-time contract positions with benefits, based in Beachwood, Ohio, and expected to continue through April 30, 2027.
The consultants will augment corporate accounting teams during a complex carve-out and separation, supporting increased accounting, financial reporting, treasury, legal-entity and transaction-related requirements. The three consultants will support specialized workstreams across benefits accounting, international accounting and financial reporting.
This is a hybrid position based in Beachwood, Ohio. The normal schedule requires onsite work Monday through Wednesday, Thursday onsite as needed, and remote work on Friday. Candidates will be required to work full-time onsite during the initial training period.
Responsibilities
- Support accounting and financial reporting activities associated with a major corporate spin-off, separation and carve-out.
- Assist with preparation and analysis of balance sheets, income statements and statements of cash flows.
- Support legal-entity restructuring and accounting requirements associated with the formation and separation of new entities.
- Perform treasury accounting activities, including support for foreign currency and derivative accounting.
- Assist with pension and benefits accounting processes and carve-out financial statement requirements.
- Support transaction-related accounting activities and provide additional accounting capacity during periods of elevated workload.
- Perform ledger reconciliations, data validation and accounting support associated with system conversions.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support assigned accounting workstreams across benefits, international accounting or financial reporting based on project requirements.
- Work across multiple accounting priorities as transaction and separation activities evolve.
Skills Required
- Strong corporate accounting and financial-reporting knowledge.
- Experience preparing and analyzing balance sheets, income statements and cash-flow statements.
- Proficiency with Oracle, SAP and financial consolidation tools.
- Strong ledger reconciliation and data-validation skills.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple accounting workstreams in a complex corporate environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities associated with transaction and separation activities.
Skills Preferred
- CPA certification.
- Experience supporting corporate divestitures, spin-offs, carve-outs or other complex transactions.
- Experience in benefits or pension accounting, international accounting, treasury accounting or corporate financial reporting.
Education Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related accounting discipline.
Experience Required
- 8–9 years of accounting experience.
- Experience working within complex corporate accounting and financial-reporting environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, SAP and consolidation tools.
